Labuschagne Dropped from Australian One-Day International Lineup Against Team India
Marnus Labuschagne has been dropped from the three-game ODI series against India, with high-performing Queensland colleague Matt Renshaw getting a shock inclusion.
Recent Form Lead to Omission
Selectors dropped Labuschagne from the ODI squad following scoring just one run in both of his innings during the top-end series against South Africa in August. The right-hander has a highest score of 47 in his most recent ten ODI innings.
The batsman has featured in 68 one-day internationals and accumulated 1,871 runs at an average of 34.64, but will now continue to press his claims a Test recall in time for the Ashes starting in Perth on November 21.
Renshaw's Return and Other Squad Updates

“The bulk of the T20 squad will stay as a group as it’s an crucial phase in the preparation for the World Cup next year, however we are aiming to find equilibrium to ensure we simultaneously prepare certain individuals for the Test matches ahead.”
Australia’s three-game ODI series against India starts on October 19 in Perth, before the opponents play five T20 internationals from October 29.
